Jewellery or jewelry is pieces of personal jewelry such as necklaces, rings, brooches and bracelets, which are used by people. Probably made of precious stones or precious metals, but may be from other materials, and may be assessed for geometrical reasons or others, or a significant symbol. Earrings and other body rings jewelry is also considered while body art is not. Also, items attached to clothing, like buttons, which are not regarded as an ornament, even if they are rare and highly decorative. In addition, items such as belts and bags, etc. are not considered jewelry and are considered accessories.
The jewelry word is derived from the word jewel, which is anglicized from the Old French “Jouel” around the 13th century. Tracing further back to the Latin word “jocale” the toy. The jewelry is one of the oldest forms of body jewelry; recently found 100,000 years the beads made from Nassarius shells are considered the oldest jewelry.
